Favourite place for a walk 🚶♂️
So good to walk.... lovely views.... good for all abilities
The car park is too small at busy times, but there is another one at the other end of the forest. They really need some litter and poo bins along the marked trails though, as there are often abandoned dog poo bags there. This is a lovely place for an outing, with big areas of woodland and some clearings. There is a vast array of mushrooms, in September/ October time with lots of fly agaric with the white spots in the red top and lots of different butterflies in Summer. There is a Bronze Age burial site with views all across the countryside and farms to the sea, an old lead works (the information signs have disappeared recently?) and a path leading up to a trig point with lovely views over to Moel Famau. There is also an old lake, Llyn Ochin which has been left as marshland for dragon flies, newts and cotton grass to grow. A great place to picnic or go for a walk with a dog. Have fun!
Could be a nice place for a walk if it wasn't for the dog poogh left in bags on the path way .. do people think the pixie's tidy it up
