This car park offers an excellent spot to begin any of several clearly-marked paths up to the top of Moel Famau. There's always at least some space here, bit you'll usually find free spots to park in just short of the entrance to the car park, too. There's a small amount of information available to learn about the area, and usually a tasteful snacks/refreshments van, too. It would get a fifth star from me if it had some WC facilities and some more educational/information boards.

Windy & exposed, but good if you want a 45minute hike to the top of Moel Famau. Nearest toilet facilities a mile back down at the lower car park. I damaged the under frame of my car on a rock in the gravel car park here a few years back, so drive carefully. Bring a shovel in snowy weather.

Flipping exhausted when I got to the top, but well worth the experience, and the exercise! The first time I've walked up the mountain! So glad I did! The views are absolutely stunning! Went with my daughter and grandson, oh and Paisley 🐕 🐾 🐾, I'd go again.

Spacious car parks at the base of a well maintained path to Moel Famau. No option to pay electronically- don't forget coins. Small charge which helps with upkeep
