Pleasant hidden-away reserve, with crackling power cables overhead, a surreal combination. From here you can explore the rest of the marshes, down to the River Thames, and get up close to one of the pair of the UK’s tallest pylons where aforementioned cables cross the Thames.

An island of tranquility in the heart of ebbsfleet. Been critical to our physical and mental health during lockdown. Well maintained and a vital for the local ecology. Good protection so far from antisocial use of quad bikes and scramblers.

Lovely quite place for dog walking. Or if you want a pleasant walk. There's a picnic area too. Small children need to be watched as there are a lot of lakes about. Overwise a very nice place.

This was an interesting walk even if not that picturesque. Basically a post industrial wasteland with evidence of railway lines and parts of demolished buildings. The 650ft odd pylons and power lines crossing to Essex tend to dominate the landscape but add their own interest, many of the paths appear restricted by signs. I don't know the history of this place I have to say. It's rumoured the Paramount Park will be built here but I have no further information. Great for dog walkers or simply anyone wishing to explore. I'm uncertain if the adjacent Swanscombe Marshes (to the west) comes under the umbrella of Botany marshes but they all join into one in any case.
