It was quite a nice place, the front door needs to be fix so that it stays shut, a bit of a draft at times, I had eggs Benedict which was good, eggs could have been cooked a tad more but that's my taste, it was bacon instead of ham and the bacon was well done which I enjoyed, the coffee was piping hot, which is always a good thing, the cakes looked amazing, I would go back.
I feel this place has fallen back from the high standards it had when first opened.
Never seems to have the selection of sausage rolls it displayed at first. The staff start packing up at least half an hour before closing time. So if you arrive at 3.30 pm it looks like there is nothing left to serve.
The standard of coffee is still very good and staff are friendly.
Lovely little café in Dumbarton, a much better experience than other cafes in the area, great selection of home baked pastries and lovely fresh coffee 10/10 would recommend
Wonderful experience of Scottish breakfast. Callum and the team here gave a genuine and kind Scottish hospitality. This was my first visit to Scotland and the team here took the time to explain what Scottish food is about. One of the little girl even showed me what a "tatties" is.
They also took the time to recommend tourist places around, such as which distillery is better and so forth.
Coffee was better than most big name chains I normally frequent. The cakes look beautiful and I'm taking them back home.
Highly recommended for tourist seeking genuine Scottish hospitality.
