Had a private 1/2 day experience here today. Was hosted by Alex, who is obviously passionate about this centre and it’s stars, the birds! This was a long standing ambition of mine, you know, one of those you can never get round to! My daughter needed a Christmas present suggestion & hey presto, here I am. Was introduced to the day seamlessly, with the kind assistance of Mali’ the Harris Hawk, followed by a Kestrel, then onto Puddle the Gyrfalcon, number 13 the Great Grey Owl and finally a Black Kite! I was asked my favourite, but couldn’t decide between them! What an experience & if you are thinking about doing similar, or even just visiting to see the birds and the amazing flying shows then stop thinking and start doing! You will not be disappointed!👍

We went to see the birds of prey and ended up signing up for a flight experience handling the kites. The staff were informative and the birds did not dissapoint. We have been to similar centres but this one was leaps above with the outside atmosphere and interactivity from the birds and staff. The handlers all seemed to genuinely care about the birds and the venue was very clean and tidy with the Welsh countryside all around to take in. If you pay for entry at the gardens and bird centre you also get to return within 7 days if you hang on to your receipt which is an incentive to explore further. We spent the bulk of our day watching the flight demonstrations and taking part. Look forward to going back again in the future.

had an incredible time here, ended up staying for almost 2 hours to see all the birds! even though it rained the flying display was amazing - the birds were friendly and flew really near us, and the staff were welcoming and answered all our questions. we all had a fantastic time and want to come back again, thank you for a great day out!!

An absolutely fantastic experience - we only came to watch the first show, but ended up signing the kids up for an amazing hands on experience with an owl and a red kite and also staying on for the second show. The shows were great fun and informative and we got several close fly-bys from the birds. All the staff were great – really friendly and helpful. There are a wonderful variety of very well cared for birds to see – and the morning and afternoon shows select a different set of birds to display. This was without doubt the best day out of our holiday. (they dealt with social distancing very well too).
