I used E-Tech to fit a shower switch for me. A job that took less than an hour and a job that I provided the part for. Later that day I was presented with an invoice of £102.00 (£85.00 + £17.00 VAT). Having queried the price I was told that the fitting of a new shower switch is considered to be an emergency and the minimum charge for this is £85.00 and that this was stated in the terms and conditions on the website. However I had called the company by getting their number purely online and not going via their website. Whilst on the call I specifically asked for a rough estimate of the cost to which I was told this would be given by the visiting electrician. This was surely the perfect time to inform me of a minimum call out charge. When the job was completed I asked the electrician for a rough estimate and was provided with an answer of 'it wont be that expensive'. During an email exchange I was then told that the emergency rate is actually higher than £85.00 and that I had actually been charged the lower call out rate. If you are using this company be very aware that you will incur an immediate charge of £85.00 a fee that is not provided over the phone when asking for a quote. Also no job completion paperwork has been provided. I now know why they take your card details over the phone before doing the job as there is no comeback to their ridiculous first hour call out fee.

Installed their new energy saving infrared Clean Heating system in my home. Much better than my old storage heaters. Extremely efficient and installers were great. Their brochure is on the website. Salesman and engineers were very helpful. I would definitely recommend this company!

Similar experience to other reviewer. Was charged over £120 for changing a starter for a fluorescent light. This job was done within 5 to 10 minutes. Overcharged for a very small job. When I queried I was referred to terms and conditions on their website and that I had been charged less. Will not be using again.
