Great wee site Silvia the owner was very helpfull and a nice pitch too great for a stop off or Base.
Very friendly and polite people, nice park in harmony with the nature, good and clean facilities. From the entrance to the lake it's less than five minutes walking distance.
A bit rough around the edges. Due to the lock-down restriction the facilities were closed so didn't get to see them but they were portocabin-like blocks. There's a touring section with hardstands, electrical points and lots of fresh water taps. There's a couple of grassed tent areas near the reception hut but the site is dominated by the statics - some of which appear to be permanent residences.
There's no Loch view from anywhere on the actual site and depending on how fast you parambulate, its around 10 minutes to the Loch side from the touring pitches. Not much to do otherwise without travelling further afield so its a base rather than a place to go for it's own sake.
I don't normally leave reviews but I feel compelled to share some thoughts after reading the negative reviews here. This caravan park is well-located and easy to get to. The campervan sites are extremely well maintained and make for safe and comfortable (flat!) parking for the night. The facilities (female anyway) were in excellent condition. The owners couldn't have possibly been nicer to us, as we arrived late. Utterly friendly! We could pay by card and the price was as you would expect anywhere. I would absolutely recommend this spot to any fellow campers.
