This tea shop has closed down. We tried to visit in Sept 2020 but the place was deserted and tables removed. Probably the result of the Covid pandemic.
Very nice tea shop with great.tea and coffee. Ice creams and cakes. Great to go the river, canoe, paddles board or swim and great a bite to beat rather than being a picnic. Oh plus you can look at the activity in the lock as well. What would make it a 5 , just some more food options. Some salad, hot potatoes and maybe a simple main option.a pasta with meat. Oh they do cream teas as well.
Beautiful little stop. The tea was really good and steeped very strong. The cake was very sweet.
The only bad part was the wasps but they're inevitable! Really enjoyed our visit and watching the boats go by.
On a sunny day nothing better than sitting in a really nice garden having a cup of tea or one of the many other drinks on offer as well as sandwiches and cakes and ice creams all served by delightful people in a very well organized but which you can tell is clean and freshly painted with all the modern catering equipment that is a must these days.
Always a pleasure to stop here when walking along the Thames path.
You can just sit and watch the boats as they enter the lock and disappear again many a happy couple of hours doing this.
Would rate this place 5 out of 5
Good value for money. Lovely area by Hurley Lock, a short walk over the bridge from the FREE car park opp the local church at the end of the Village.
