We purchased an 1810 Courbe concrete and copper kitchen tap from a reputable online supplier, and had it installed less than 12 months ago. The concrete coating has started to peel off and it looks terrible. I contacted The 1810 Company as the supplier we purchased from had ceased trading. They asked me to provide proof of purchase, which I did. Imagine my disbelief when 1810 told me that as they didn’t supply the retailer I purchased the tap from they would not be honouring my warranty claim! They did initially offer to replace the tap at a reduced cost in May, which I wasn’t happy about but accepted. 1810 has now gone back on this offer and told me to purchase it from a retail outlet at full price! I told them I would be referring the matter to trading standards and provide a suitable review, only to be told accused of threatening a ‘fake’ review! I am utterly disgusted at their conduct and lack of service. It seems I’m not the only one to report such issues. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THE 1810 COMPANY IF YOU VALUE A VALID 5 YEAR WARRANTY AS THEY WILL NOT HONOUR IT!!

I have had a very bad experience with this company. The £350 Spirale tap was defective. It stiffened with use and rotated on the worktop. I provided videos of this, but still they would not send a replacement. They asked me to send it back for testing, but would not send me a replacement tap in the meantime. I sent it back and in the end it was lost in the post! I would not recommend the customer service of this company. They just want sales.

I have dealt with The 1810 Company for many years now and find their service and professionalism second to none. Dealing with Daryl and the team is such a pleasure and nothing is too much trouble, great work guys!

Very poor quality product. Sink developed a big crack straight away, and 1810 refuse to do anything about it. Apparently I can send it back at my expense for them to look at and they'll decide if it's a fault (based on customer care so far, I assume they won't want to cover it, so my postage would be wasted). 75y warranty isn't much use of it's at their discretion and you have to uninstall the sink and send it back, and wait an unspecified amount if time without a kitchen sink. I'll just by a better quality one from elsewhere.
