I visited the museum with my granddaughter to see the Tiger who came to tea exhibition. I will definitely return. Lots of interesting things to see. The Edwardian house was closed due to it being too small to social distance. It was decorated for Christmas and looked lovely in the entrance hall, which is stunning. The staff were very helpful and friendly. All in all a great free place to visit. Very safe.

A good mix of different exhibitions to visit. The museum is open until 5pm on weekdays and is free to visit. It had exhibitions on treasure, the Roman settlements in Chester as well as two gallery rooms and a natural history room. Each room was filled with a myriad of different exhibitions and had hands on elements relating to each. There were workshops on hand for children (we visited during half term) and clear information presented to explain what each exhibit was showing. It is a small museum in which you can see all the exhibits within an hour of visiting but it is certainly worth taking a look to see different elements of Chester's history.
