£6 for 2 hours. The machines are a bit fiddly, I tried 2 before I got my ticket. That said, due to sewage works parking is dire in Chester. If I'd known this I would have used the park and ride or train.
I only found it by accident as the diversion doesn't make anything clear, especially parking, it was a short walk into Chester, but if you are totally unfamiliar with the city I imagine you would struggle. Tbh I was relieved I found my way back to the car park!
