Spen was on time, friendly and came fully kitted and supplied a highly professional service. It was clear from chatting that he was qualified in in sweeping and many other related services. During one sweep he found and removed more nest material that a previous sweeper had left! And then camera surveyed to provide an absolute check. Thanks Spen.

Excellent service from Spencer, he arrived when he said he would, very professional and courteous, a real pleasure to have around, I wish we had more chimneys for him to sweep!!!

As with any trade, some of the costs are for a callout and some are the job. Was informed of a £65 callout charge which would come off bill if work needed although likely cost not mentioned. Then when Spen came I was told that the standard charge for a cowl repair was £200 - a bit more than the average online but acceptable if there's a new cowl needed. BUT only 90 minutes later, with the two old cowls reseated on new mortar, I was told that was two repairs so £400. The second cowl took 20 minutes. That's £260 per hour when most trades are around £250 a day. Even if it was a mornings work with travelling then it's still vastly overpriced. Be very careful on costs and don't get ripped off.......
