Cardiff Castle is one of the most important and well restored historical landmarks of Cardiff.
The court is a public space for festival events or Christmas/other seasonal activities.
The Castle building has beautiful Victorian facades and towers, giving a quite romantic experience and taste of the whole complex.
A historic place and a useful map marker, this castle is great! The gift shop is free to visit, the only reason this review isn't 5 stars is the expensive food, but that's to be expected for a gift shop. The castle itself is well maintained, and overall a great way to spend a couple of hours!
We had a lovely evening there,the food was good and Christmas lights were really fantastic.We had a drink outside the castle which was very well organised. There were booths with heaters etc,it was very clean and safe. Would recommend going there
BIG FAN. I love castles. The only problem with this place is the size, it's too big. I was wandering around the castle with the family and I lost my son and 3 weeks later and I still haven't heard from him. I have also been receiving hundreds of missed calls from Cardiff ever since I've visited but I haven't been answering them so I don't get scammed.
However, the castle has a wonderful moat and that makes the whole experience worth it.

First time to visit town for 10 months. I enjoyed my visit to the castle free entrance. Has places for food and drink due to restrictions no alcohol served. Must look fantastic in the dark as it is all lit up
