My wife and I sought out Max Davies to represent us because we had seen him before in litigation when we were the losing party and he was acting for the other side. We have recently won a case, this time with Max acting for us and he is immensely impressive. His advocacy and legal knowledge is clearly first class but he also has that magical, subtle softly-softly ability to present matters to the court in a way that imperceptibly change the arguments in a client's favour. When he wants to make a point however there is nowhere to hide. Public access was really straightforward, We had previously contacted a solicitor but in hindsight should not have bothered.The public access process was quick and efficient. Max was polite, helpful, direct and extremely assiduous in dealing with our case. If he says he will do something he always does and we felt immediately we had instructed him, that we had someone who would put their full professional abilities to work on our behalf. We won clearly and decisively as a result of Max's actions but in magnanimous fashion. Tremendous barrister and great human being. Deserves huge success.

I was first put in to contact with Max after my solicitor advised me that I needed a barrister for my case while divorcing my ex-wife and that Max had been highly recommended. Max represented me the first time and during our very first meeting give the impression that he knew his stuff. The first hearing went extremely well and won without a loss. Then through the course of my divorce I had Max represent me a second time through direct access, as I could not afford the solicitor as well. Max represented me in a very difficult time and a very complex case, I found Max to be extremely professional and without his advice, guidance and expert knowledge I would not have received the result that I wanted. I would highly recommend Max to anyone one who is going through a Divorce and can honestly say that its worth contacting him direct.

I went to Max following a recommendation from a high profile lawyer. He can be instructed directly which saved solicitor's costs to instruct. Upon our first meeting I found Max to be experienced and knowledgable in all aspects of a rather complex divorce hearing. He quickly gave me confidence that all was not lost and ascertained the relevant facts from the mass of documentation I presented to him. In the hearing he fought my corner impeccably, stating facts and backing them up with evidence... The outcome was a very fair settlement and without doubt he eclipsed the opposing Barrister who merely presented unsubstantiated accusations. He is a credit to his profession, is always available and I unreservedly recommend him.
