This walk is very nice. Theres some awesome tunnel of trees. The lane to it is challenging at times. May be hard to reach in the winter. Two lovely high hids to view over the reserve.

Dolydd Hafren Nature Reserve is a small area of meadow, woodland and wetland habitat on the banks of the River Severn. Accessed from the Forden-Caerhowel road, the single lane track to the Reserve is riddled with potholes. The car park is just about large enough for four cars. It is nature reserve so much of the site is not public access, but there are two large bird hides, linked to the car park by an unpaved trail through the meadow and forest. Hayfever sufferers beware, the site is fairly sheltered and there is lots of pollen in the air in summer. The bird hides are up a set of stairs, and feature a handful of openable windows. There are benches and a log book in one of the hides. The hides are kept tidy, and it is encouraged that you leave them as you found them.
