As a multiple-property owning landlord who lives overseas, I've had many dealings with other Cardiff property managers. David Skinner is without doubt the best I've dealt with. He brings care and attention to the sourcing of quality tenants and to the upkeep of my properties. He communicates in a straightforward manner and is reliable. I will carry on using his management services and recommend him to any other landlords.

After having spoken with David across the course of two days I felt I had to find a forum to offer a wholehearted recommendation to both the company and the man behind the company. I was forced to look for a flat in Cardiff which was both available immediately and would also accept a short term let ending during the winter months, when finding tenants is most difficult. I phoned DJ Skinner regarding one of his properties and he let me know that none of the properties on his books would be suitable for me at that time. What is revealing about the character of the man is that despite the fact that I could not rent from him, he went on to advise me across two days as to my best options and the pitfalls that I should avoid in my continued search for a property. His advice ranged broadly. From offering his knowledge on areas to avoid and areas to strongly consider, to the steps I should take when viewing a property (searching out concealed mold etc) and onto the hidden agency fees and estate agent malpractice which I should be wary of. Finally he returned a call when I emailed him a property which was actually from a competing agency and he was courteous enough to offer his professional opinion on it and to advise that it looked like it could be worth taking. However not before breaking down the energy efficiency of the building for me and advising me on it's likely cost. Across the course of two days David was professional, courteous and helpful despite no profit motive. I would recommend his company to any person wishing to rent from an agency they can trust; which puts courtesy before competition and morals before profit. Cheers, Barry
