Have dealt with Chris Barker for over 20 years and have bought and sold many properties through Peter Mulcahy over this period. His knowledge of the property sector is second to none. Chris has always been professional and scrupulously honest and transparent, always willing to go that extra mile. He is the only agent that consistently values property to sell, rather than 'for sale'. Thank you again for another successful sale :).

We dealt with a lot of estate agents to try to buy a house in Cardiff over about an 8 month period, seeing up to 20 properties. Some agents were mediocre and a lot of them were absolutely terrible, treating the client appaulingly. We nearly gave up, but then we got in touch with Chris Barker at Peter Mulcahy and it was a breath of fresh air. A very respectful, good old-school estate agent who knows his clients and put the extra effort in to listening to what we liked and very soon found us a lovely home. We would go back to them again.

I chose Peter Mulcahy as the estate agent to sell my house because they operated in a way that, to me, seemed more ethical and straight forward than other agents that I had seen. The others worked on the strategy of encouraging a large number viewings and taking a number of offers and then going back to the potential buyers to start a bidding war ending in sealed final bids. I felt that this would be very stressful for the potential buyers who were looking to buy a home for themselves and also, as a seller, I felt that this could infect me with the poison of greed as I would be hoping the selling price would be inflated. So when I met Chris Barker it was like a breath of fresh air blowing away the poisonous fumes of stressful competition. I had the feeling that he was a person whom I could trust to treat both seller and buyer with equality and honesty. He also had a better "feel for the house" than the others who just saw a "commodity". Thanks Chris you made the sale feel like a walk in the park on a summers day.

Tried to arrange a viewing, they couldn't accommodate a time or date that suited us, saying it wasn't 'practical' or 'time efficient' for them!! They didn't try and find a solution to this, they had set times and didn't seem to want to budge from that which felt like a bit of an unfair system.
