I am unable to put into words really how fantastic James and his assistant Stewart were today when they fitted , without stopping , two new work tops in my lovely modern home in Mid Wales . I would not hesitate to recommend this company . Truly professional and with admin back up so you know you are not with a " fly by night " organisation. BEWARE of Kitchen Magician (Swansea) Ltd trading as Kitchen Genie, Kitchen Genie (Blackpool) Ltd, Quartzize Ltd and Smiley Kitchens Ltd and MR ANDREW LLOYD EVANS. Avoid these companies like the plague! On 15th March, 2018 a sales rep from Kitchen Genie came to our house and quoted for new cupboard doors, drawer fronts and plinths. We agreed to go ahead, paid a deposit of £1,050 by bank transfer and signed an order form. A survey was arranged for 27th March, During the intervening 12 days we received no acknowledgement or written confirmation from Kitchen Genie or a receipt our deposit. I then discovered that the Terms and Conditions on the back of the order form didn’t contain the statutory Cancellation Notice (14-day ‘Cooling off’ period) and then I discovered online a number of very poor and negative Reviews about this company. My wife and I started to become extremely nervous. I phoned the company to cancel the contract and survey and request a refund of my deposit. I was informed there would be a £325 charge for the aborted survey. Having questioned this exorbitant charge I received a phone call from a Andrew Evans. He was extremely rude and aggressive and said that I 'wouldn't be getting a penny of my deposit back' and 'take me to court' before putting the phone down. FOUR companies operate from Port Talbot - Kitchen Genie (Blackpool) Ltd, Kitchen Magician (Swansea) Ltd, Smiley Kitchens Ltd and Quartzize Ltd - all selling the same products and services. I understand it is a criminal offence to sell any product or service without providing a statutory Cancellation Notice and 14-day cooling off period. I am now pursuing this through the County Court and my solicitor to get our £1,050 refunded in full. Update: On 20th April, 2018, 3 days before instigating CCJ proceedings in the county court, we have now received the whole of our deposit of £1,050 back from this dreadful man. Caveat Emptor!

Although the workmen were great, their customer service post event has been appalling. No interest in ever doing business with them again.
