Barn Owls Cattery

I've been using Barn Owls for years. Couldn't be a safer place for your cat really secure. I never worry when I've left my pets here they are so well looked after. Friendly, professional owners.

My cats always enjoy it here, they always come home well fed and looking really well so have no worries of leaving them here!

I used this cattery for the first time having moved to Kent from Hertfordshire. I have always had very good experiences before but unfortunately not this time. When my husband dropped Darcy off there was confusion as the owner, Amanda, assumed that she was a different cat and initially put her in the wrong pen. She then said that we hadn't paid enough as she thought our booking was for two cats, not one. On collecting Darcy there was again confusion. We had left the vaccination booklet by mistake on arrival and the owner had kindly rung and said she would look after the book until we picked her up. When my husband picked Darcy up and asked for the book, the owners denied they had the book and, when my husband passed the phone to me, Amanda very rudely told me to ring the vet to get a replacement book (which contains 10 years medical records) and that they didn't have time to look for the book. Amanda then realised that she did have the book which had been put in the wrong pen. Although Darcy seems fine physically, I do wonder how she was treated if there was so much confusion and carelessness. The owners were rude in their dealings with us over this issue and I think their people skills are sadly lacking. When my husband arrived to collect Darcy, the first thing he was told was that she "wasn't a very friendly cat" as she had got up into the eaves and the owner was going to have to try and get her down with a broom! I will not be using this cattery again.
