Every Sunday and bank Holidays there is car boots. Lots of cheap stuff.

Decent size park where you can loop around and cut across the lake. You can also walk under the road to walk round the lake on the other side (south side) which I think has a bigger field to walk around. North side walk is tarmac/hard standing so you can get away with keeping your feet clean if you forget your wellies in winter! Summer there is lots of activities on the lakes and a go ape style park just off it. There's also a fun park for the kids.

We arrived at the activity lake , /picnic spot fairly tidy / clean, no one to clean tables. Where other cafes have managed to offer a reasonable selection of food, was very limited and basic, coffee was good. Not a place you think " must visit again soon" unfortunately.

I fully endorse the rule of first come, first served. That said, I’ve had to wait 2.5 hours with young children to get into a splash park. In busy summer months I’d suggest they operate a virtual queue. It could easily be administered through an app.
