A great visit to the castle today. The remains of the buildings were magnificent to look around. The route is limited due to the current restrictions but was still great to see. The grounds need some maintenance and there were quite a lot of things laying around the property (plastic bags of stuff, plastic chairs, bottles of drink etc.) however the views were stunning. The castle is now closed until the new year.
This is a lovely place to visit if you like old castle’s. We just decided to visit whilst going pasted. It wasn’t very well sign posted and the entrance road was a single track road but other than that we had a lovely time walking around looking at the the old walls. There is a great view of the area around.
Beautiful castle beautiful views the staff are very good very friendly very knowledgeable.
There's restoration work going on let's hope it brings the castle back to his old self the beautiful Castle that it is. To visit the castle a family of 4 will cost around £15 subject to change .
Theres beautiful views of the Irish sea puffin island and the North Wales coast .
Gwrych Castle is a Grade I listed country house in north Wales, one of the first attempts at replicating true medieval architecture in Europe. It stands in 250 acres of gardens and grounds and has extensive views over former parkland including a deer park and the Irish Sea.
This castle has many hauntings the lady in white also the local towns people believe that the spirit of a servant girl who died falling off a horse haunts the land.
Others have said ghosts of former caretakers have been seen around the 200-year-old castle.
Go to there website and see when you can book a ghost hunt for 2021 but you better hurry dates do go quickly.
Ghost Hunts run from 8pm (9pm start) to 1:30am and involve walking the grounds of the castle, so please bring appropriate clothing and footwear. Prices start from £30 per person , take it from me its well worth the money its a great experience if you like the paranormal .
