Andy (and his apprentice, Matt) came and sorted out our new bungalow's terrible 'rewire' which was done 2 years before we moved in. The electrics were in a mess - all the old 1960's wiring was still in situ - some of it had been used by the bodger that did the job in 2017. The distribution box had several holes between the mcbs that you could stick a finger in, likewise the cable entries to the box - they were far too big, and the grommets were made from bits of grey insulation from cables! The 'new' wiring in the loft was loosely looped over rafters, and not pinned down, the wiring to the multiple downlighters looked like bird's nests! Andy did a full assessment and report of the condition, picking up a list of issues and returned a week later to put everything right. He quoted £35 an hour for this, and estimated it would take up to 3 days. In the end, the final bill came to a very reasonable £770 for 20 hours graft. And what a bloody neat job they did, too!!!
