Put simply, this place is perfection. After trekking halfway up Mount Snowdon, wearing an ill advised outfit of Dr Martins and the kind of winter coat that wouldn’t be out of place on a commuter train into central London, all I needed was a cup of tea, a delicious sandwich and warmth in my heart.
I am pleased to report that I got all three of these. The tea was lovely, the cheese and pickle sandwich was delightful and the rapport with the beautiful lady behind the counter was fantastic.
Her quick wit and kindness gave me the strength I needed to conquer Snowdon. Not only did I fall in love with the mountain, I fell in love with her. In all, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wishes to climb Snowdon, and to anyone who wishes to feel love in their heart.
And if you’re reading this, lady from the mountain, please call me.
A nice tootle along the shore of Lake Padarn in llanberis. Steam trains are always the best way to travel for nostalgia
Nice to be able to sip on a hot chocolate and take a well earned break to re-energise Shame there are no toilet facilities. Our first climb with our 8 and 6 year olds and being able to see it in the distance gave us a goal to aim for before we turned back for home. Next time the summit !
Ideally situated with excellent service for slush puppies and bags of skittles.
