Went during the Corona lockdown so got free parking. Was nice just to take a family walk round the lake and the children took their nets and found a few creatures in the stream. Sadly, the boating lake was closed, but we had a great picnic sitting and watching the birds. Overall nicely maintained and a very pleasant place to go. Once lockdown is over we will be going back, so that we can go boating.
Cant see why the toilets weren't open. They are elsewhere in St. Albans and Dunstable Downs
Nice park, car park extortionate. £6 if you need more than an hour. The car park was largely empty, unsurprisingly.
It was a real pain in the arse to get parked and actually pay. Stanborough Park is worth the hassle though, especially in the summer. There are lovely places to walk, LOADS of places to sit on the grass or by the lakes. There is a cafe overlooking the lake too. So stick with it in the car park.
Nice place to visit during this time.
