A useful free car park for local shops. Be careful they now have restricted parking practices since M&S opened opposite. They installed number plate recognition cameras and threaten to fine you if you park there then visit M&S.
There are always some spaces here even the spaces for wheelchair users are usually not completely full. The bollards limiting the gateways have been removed so you can actually get a big car in there but the car park now has number plate recognition cameras to enforce the parking scheme which some say is park for an hour and no return within an hour. no parking overnight and no way of paying for parking. Be careful! The cameras take no prisoners. The disabled bays are for disabled badge holders only. A valid disabled badge must be clearly displayed at all times.
Always an amazing breakfast. Staff are lovely with a lot of patience and kindness. A lot of elderly clientele during the day and they are well looked after.
Just wish the ladies wasn't up all those stairs!
While this car park was always over subscribed it now has a complicated number plate recognition scheme which isn't very clear and means the space can't be used overnight. A good reason to shop elsewhere.
It's free for two hours, just good for shopping or a quick meal. Sometimes is full though.
