This has got to be the worst court in london. I had a hearing date set then turned up to the hearing they said it had been changed without notifying me. I took a day off work because of this and did not get paid. I asked them to reimburse me for losing a days money they then asked me to provide evidence to what my day rate was.I sent them all the information requested and it took them 6 months to reply stating I did not provide enough evidence. There customers service management is terrible and they never pick up the telephone when you try to get through. Very unorganised and disrespectful to general public who use there facilities. I would use another court if I were you. They do whatever they want.

This court, sadly, is a failure to the Great British Justice system and the Great British People. As a CLAIMANT, they have incorrectly lodged paperwork, cashed cheques and not lodged the paperwork and arranged remote telephone hearings instead of reading and filing said forms correctly, a waste of time and money to the Claimants, Defendants and the Judges. At a remote hearing the Judge was dismissive, curt and didn't even read the Trial Bundle! This is a failure of the highest level, to not even read a Trial Bundle for the case you are sitting for at that moment in time and then propose the Claimant lodge a form (which has already been lodged twice previously and filed incorrectly on both occasions) is simply embarrassing. The staff do not answer the phone to receive payment, and then take the liberty of returning your paperwork without even trying to contact you back about payment (unlike other courts I have dealt with who do call you). On this occasion I also went in to the court to give them a cheque by hand on my lunch break, which they refused to take (then sent the documents back the next day) - all the staff were just sitting around and chatting, no work was being done and the phone was just ringing away - it was so sad to see that our Justice workers in this court have no interest in serving the people of their district. Public work is a highly respectable, responsible and has a vitally important role to play in a fair and just society and as an NHS worker myself it's sad to see these staff letting the team down. There are no Erin Brockoviches or Atticus Finches amongst them and the court needs wholesale changes from top to bottom.

The most appalling court in the UK. Judges cancel at the last minute repeatedly. Staff NEVER answer phone & if they do, they have serious attitude problems and every question you ask, no matter what, their line is “we’re not legally aloud to advise you”, they need to be fired and new people take their place who don't have hang-ups. It takes them up to year to arrange a civil court hearing, but if the clients a bank or landlord, they get a hearing in 4 weeks or less. They should be reported to the justice system for failing in their duties.

I personally think the staff here purposely don't answer their phones so that people just give up and end up not bothering. They are not that busy, they just don't want to answer for what ever reason. They have also lost important documents of mine that I have personally handed to them. Courts like this shouldn't be allowed to operate on tax payers money.

They are really hard to get hold of on the phone, certainly. But I did get through a few times, with persistence and calling at different times of the day. The staff member who helped me were polite and courteous. My claim was processed quite quickly. I would say it took about 5 weeks to get a hearing and 4 weeks after that for the hearing to take place. I arrived 30 minutes before my appointment and the check in process was smooth. I was seen 14 minutes after my designated appointment time. The clerk was friendly and informative and passed additional documents to the judge. I came very prepared with all of my documents bundled and practiced my defense. I also read a few guides online about how to be a LIP and asked in advance of my hearing how the judge likes to be addressed. The judge was balanced and listened to me carefully. I thought it important to counter some of the terrible reviews because reading them the night before being a litigant in person was very unnerving.
