The house was very dark and with the day being overcast it made for rather dully lit exhibits. I didn't find the house that special but as members mostly our group passed a pleasant 30 mins. The cafe though small served good drinks by attentive staff. The experience was marred by an ignorant member who refused twice to move to make access to and from our table sensibly possible for my hampered wife. Worth a look but far from my favourite Trust house.

Fabulous, a scenic, narrow, twisty road took us to this wonderful experience. A beautiful house and garden kept in the manner and period of the time when the three sisters restored it. Full of interesting items and information and lovely views over the coastline. Thank goodness they passed it to the NT and that they exist to maintain such buildings etc for us and future generations to visit and admire.

Lovely little place. Interesting materials and features. Gardens are a little tight and not quite as big as most national trust sites. Great view of the sea.
