Sprinkles and petals

We had a perfect wedding day but I can honestly say the only regret I had was not doing my own flowers! The colour scheme we had discussed for the bride and bridesmaids bouquets was not adhered to so that I ended up hating my own bouquet and preferred that of the bridesmaids. Everything in the photos is pink and white except my bouquet with loud orangey reds. In addition we had purchased ivy strands for Yolanda to decorate the room with but noticed afterwards that only half the box had been used and there was none at all on our side of the room. I don't know whether she ran out of time or just couldn't be bothered. We also provided tea lights to be used which did not appear anywhere. Frankly I could have done a much better job myself for a fraction of the price and wish I had stuck to my original plan and done just that! Hi Yolanda I think we needed more discussion on what the flowers would look like as I thought you had understood that pink and white were supposed to be the main colours like the m&s bouquet I showed you which would have been perfect. You suggested adding in orange and I agreed because you are the professional and I assumed it would just be a small amount. The orange was so overpowering it really overshadowed everything else. On the morning of the wedding I was so stressed I did not even look at the flowers properly. There was so much going on and I hardly had any sleep. I know I was clear that I wanted to stick to pink and white for the bouquets though as I knew any other colour would not look right in photos. I think I will try to get the bouquet photo shopped as I really can't stand the bright orange in it. Against ivory and dusky pink it really looks strange. For the ivy I think we were just wondering why there was none on bottom of the bookcases on the other side of the room behind our table and assumed it had run out so were surprised the next morning to see half the box just sitting in the storeroom. It could have been used on the tables too if there was some leftover. Sorry to have left a bad review but I am just so disappointed as flowers are so important and I think it is pretty hard to dislike them so I did not think it would be possible that I would hate the flowers at my own wedding so much. On the day it was the last thing on my mind as we did have an amazing day. But afterwards looking at photos I just can't see past them!

Yolanda has made many cakes for me over the years. My 30th birthday cake was absolutely amazing and she covered every specification I gave her. She has also made me some stunning Christmas wreaths, attention to detail is excellent. Highly recommended.
