My father had some good care there.but not always. And the food was horrible and hard. Never do they care if the person has eaten it or not. Nurses were very loud and lazy. They do not care if the old are there or not.they only want the funds and money. Very bad bad experience of our lives. They have actually helped by making his life shorter. By not giving the right medicines and treatments. They have actually contributed in making his life short and he eventually died. Would not recommend this care home. Keep the older aged person somewhere else not here. Bad place.

I chose this 'care' home for my mother as I was initially impressed with the staff. Once she was there, I realised that (as others have said) the majority of the staff didn't care about patients. The young carers were on their phones during personal care, the night staff had head phones in and didn't respond to my calls (I used to sleep sometimes on the floor to keep mum safe) and during the day, no one would come in unscheduled to say hello. No one cared about what they ate. We had a 12 hour rota for mum so she would never be alone. Shocking place. There were some elderly patients kept in their rooms with their TV's blazing, mouths wide open and staring into space. The only time the staff went in was to give them food. NEVER to sit with them and talk to them, touch them, tell them they were safe. Shocking place. And they still have their 2017 rating outside their railings. BUPA should shut this place down and send everyone on their way.

My mother has dementia and stayed in Middlesex Manor for two weeks respite. Before placing her there I dropped in unannounced and was shown around by a nurse who was able to answer my qestions and explained about meals and activities at the home. During the time that my mother was there she was well cared for, was always clean and tidy. She had a nice bright room which was very clean. We found the staff very friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend this care home and would place my mother there again when the need arise.

Went to see for mum the place is really smelly badly kept rooms very untidy rooms was very disappointed with bupa care

I came to visit a relative and was met by the most appalling reception. Health Care Assistant Paula was very aggressive in her approach and when asked where I could find a relative, shrugged me off and did not find out for herself who could give me this information. As a Qualified professional with an extensive healthcare experience I am concerned that people with such a demeanour can be working with vulnerable adults this far from acceptable. I would request that this be looked into.
