Great woodland walks, could do with some basic facilities, especially at weekends

Great all year round, can get muddy during the winter months, Has Anglo Saxon Defensive Ditch dug along it in places used to defend against the Romans, also has a Hurricane Plane crash site from WW2, another place to find is what was called a Denehole a hole that's dug five meters down and then a cave or caves are dug horizontally in to the chalk some of them are very big and if you was to enter them you you could walk around from one cave to another (see YouTube, Denehole) This Denehole is located at the Southern part of Joydons Wood and has a high metal fencing around the drop down into the cave part, if you look down you can see the entrance into the cave. If you look on an ordnance survey map it's location is marked Denehole.

One of my favourite places to visit locally. Incredibly diverse woodland and huge to explore. Bike friendly in places too.
