RED LIGHT CAME ON DASHBOARD , WE ALL KNOW THAT MEANS BATTERY , ALTERNATOR , FANBELT. ITS MY MUMS JEEP AND SHE IS 75 , SHE DROVE IT IN THERE AND THEY MADE HER WALK HOME . WHEN SHE TOLD ME THIS I RANG THEM , APOLOGISED FOR LETTING A 75 YEAR OLD LADY WALK HOME AND WENT ON TO QUOTE ALTERNATORS GONE £415......NOW BEARING IN MIND BATTERIES AND ALTERNATORS ARE TESTABLE THEY NEW EXACTLY WHAT THEY WERE DOING . I REMOVED THE VEHICLE AND TOOK IT TO A REPUTABLE MECHANIC THE NEXT DAY. NEW FAN BELT SUPPLIED AND FITTED £90. NEED I SAY ANYMORE ! SHOULD BE ZERO STARS

I used this garage (WJL) for several years and was always very pleased with the service and rates. I told friends it was probably the best garage I had ever used and recommended it to all. . The old company has now ceased trading and the physical business is now 1st QUALITY SERVICE CENTRES (at the same address, Bury Street, N9 9JS.). It seems to be managed by the owner (director) of the old garage (WJL). Recently I wasted several days dealing with a problem that arose because he couldn't understand a computer diagnostic, which I later found was "right side impact sensor not communicating" even though the air bag dashboard light indicated a fault he couldn't understand it. I had to take the car elsewhere to get it fixed for the MOT. This week I have spent 3 days back and forth because I cannot change gears when the car has been driven for a while. I cannot disengage the clutch (which they had fitted approx. 6,000 miles back). After 3 days they have said it seems to be a problem with the clutch master cylinder (which I had said seemed to be the problem before they fitted a new clutch, at £1,200...the clutch had done only 38k miles). I have taken the car back and booked in elsewhere. That will cause me more invonvenience,and may even cost me more money, but it has taken nasty taste out of my mouth. RobSlack
