Wonderful, great range and very helpful and friendly staff.
Great service again. Thank you
Purchased a Tommy Hilfiger watch from this company under 1 year ago. Unfortunately over a period of time the locking pin had come slightly loose and would not sit inside the clasp to allow the strap to secure. After inspection of the watch I noted that the pin itself would not line up with the clasp. I returned back to the Watford branch where my watch was taken from me and inspected by the cashier at the time noting all aspects of the watch prior to returning it to the manufacturer. I received a copy and we confirmed all notes. The notes included 'Heavy wear to clasp' to which I agreed through general wear and tear there were scratches on the clasp as you would expect from 11-11.5 months of use.
After waiting 10 days, which is fine and I was made aware of this time frame at the time it was sent off. I received a call from Beaverbrooks stating that my watch had significant damage to the clasp not allowing it to close properly and tried to charge me £110 to repair it. I requested the watch was returned so i could see the significant damage that they mentioned.
Once notified the watch had arrived in store, I popped in to have a look with 2 members of staff, one of which being a manager. The clasp came back with a massive dent closest to the strap itself which had warped the clasp completely not even allowing it to sit correctly let alone clip in. I reported that this was not there when I sent this in and the report was taken and sent off.
The manager advised me that the manufacturers take photos when the return arrives so she will request for the pictures to be sent over. I was happy for them to keep hold of the watch so they could compare the photos that Tommy Hilfiger took as well as have the watch itself. They said they would contact me when compared and alert me with the next action.
3 days later from that point, I received a call from Dan from the watford branch. Who advised me that there had been no photos taken when received by Tommy Hilfiger... how coincidental...
So now I have a watch with a severely dented clasp, a company that will not accept any kind of responsibility whilst my watch is their care. Dan beat around the bushes and point blank told me I was the one that dented it as it wasn't them or Tommy Hilfiger. As this is the case, I still have to pay the £110 to repair the damage of this. Beaverbrooks have taken no liability for the damage whilst in their care and insist there is nothing they can do about it. Dan then said he will speak to customer services and see what he can do and they have offered a contribution towards the repair of the whole clasp.
I stated that I was far from happy that I have been blamed for something that I had not done to the watch, not happy that 'discrepancy in notes' was the issue. If you return a faulty phone and it has a cracked screen, it is listed on the report as it isn't classed as general wear and tear. But according to Dan not all notes are specific and stands by their original notes which have no mention of a dent as it should if it was there when I sent it off.
I am absolutely disgusted with the service I have received with this. Myself, family and household all purchase our jewellery and have spent a-lot of money and recommend you guys to many others. I can assure you after this incident I will no longer be a customer of yours and will alert everyone I know not to purchase goods from you.
Admitting liability is all that you had to do. The damage i not an issue, I know accidents happen. But how dare you blame me for something that was in your care. Having Dan sniggle down the phone at me whilst I am providing valid points is unjustified and damn rude. Disgraceful
Tell me that that dent would not have been noted in the report...
