Pendine Sands Holiday Park

Overall it was a lovely stay but a few snags which could have been improved and made it more enjoyable for us. For one, our caravan was way too far from the entertainment centre, about a 20 minute walk away, we ended up missing the entertainment because the weather was so bad and we would have got completely soaked. The Swimming pool was a shambles, it shouldn’t be open if you can’t change or shower, all other venues allow showers to be open so not sure why it was closed, we were expected to get changed on poolside in front of all other swimmers and the lifeguard, we were then expected to leave through the pool exit without going back to the changing rooms, with wet hair into the freezing cold. Also, because we weren’t allowed back to the changing area, that meant we weren’t allowed to use the loo during our swim time which is absolutely ridiculous. When I questioned this with the lifeguard, he was so rude and shrugged us off ignoring us and walking off, leaving the whole pool unattended. Had a really bad attitude. Our second to last night which was only the second time (and last time) we went to the evening entertainment, we got there in time for the music quiz which we were all very excited for and we turned up and it was almost finished, they had switched the schedules last minute without letting anyone know which is totally out of order considering we were given the schedule at the start of our stay and that should be stuck to and honoured. There was no reason they needed to switch it around, making it earlier meaning a lot of guests missing the quiz, and having to sit through the virtually live singers instead of a fun quiz. The caravan was lovely, just quite obvious it hadn’t been cleaned as the dishes were dirty. The staff were lovely and friendly and helpful (excluding lifeguards). The area is absolutely fantastic. Our dog absolutely loves this beach, it's very clean and tidy and has plenty of room for dogs to roam. Our dog loved the water here. We went in autumn so would love to go back in the summer months.

Excellent location near to the beach, we were about 500 yards away. We used the static caravan as a base and didn't use the site facilities. You can walk your dog along the beach at this time of year. We had a lovely time exploring the local area.

Nice and peaceful. Good caravan and clean area. Good facilities for a quiet weekend. Staff in the club house were friendly and the chippy was decent food
