Childhood Madressa, was based at 101 around the back entrance for females before the renovation. Horrible experience in the sense that there was a lot of internal bullying by the female teachers who had their “favourite students”. Often remember standing up for 1 hour simply because the female teacher known as “appa” wasn’t impressed with many things and picked on those students. At that time bullying was all hush hush with no social media. Hardly treated every muslim with respect as islam teaches us that we are all equal. Those that spoke Gujerati were treated with more respect. I was not a rebel student if i was, i’d never be the professional i am today. The experience i endured, still haunts me today, as they say you forget the words said to you but you will never forget the feeling.. I was not the only student to go through this.
