Hey Guys, So, I suppose you can get in front of a drum kit and if you muck around enough with it you will possibly manage to get some decent enough sounding tunes out of it. There is obviously also an awful lot of tuition and practice stuff of variable quality out there on the internet that you can plug into. And that is pretty cool, I guess. It depends on where you want to get with this stuff. If you really want to play the drums and play them well then you need proper tuition from somebody who not only knows what they are doing but importantly also know how to pass it on irrespective of your current level of play. Hey, if Bill can teach a middle aged german aeronautical engineer then he can probably teach anybody, right? I started playing the drums from scratch something like 3 and a bit years ago and have been with Bill as a tutor from the start. It's been a great journey and I feel that I have not only learned an awful lot but that I have really learned it proper. It's one thing strumming stuff out for yourself but it's a real different kettle of fish actually knowing what you are doing and having it explained to you and learning the fundamentals in a way that they actually represent a skill that you develop and can build on (including being able to read and write what you are playing). So, with Bill you can be sure to get proper professional, short term and long term structure into your learning and skill building that Bill pulls together in a way that forms a real development plan (without you even realising that you are on one). But, really tutoring sessions with Bill are much more than just learning to play the kit and understanding music proper in a structured and encouraging way. They are real fun sessions and you will never laugh as much as you are going through the grind of being pushed to the next level. So, if you just want to strum along then keep doing what you are doing, but if you want to learn it proper or just move to the next level of skill or just figure out something that has been bugging you and have some real fun while you are improving your art then just do yourself a favour and go and see the main man Bill! Bill is different to other teachers in that he is funny, but is always honest with you. In my first lesson I realised how much of the fundamentals I did’t know even though I had been playing for 3 years before. You can tell that he really loves teaching and that unlike some others, it’s really not just about the money to him. He makes it something you look forward to doing every week. Learning a lot, lots of fun. Couldn’t be better

Great Tutor and Great guy. Bill is patient, passionate and enthusiastic. His teaching style is relaxed and nurturing. He teaches you what you need to know from day one and at a pace that allows for natural progression that doesn't push you beyond what you're capable of doing until you feel comfortable to do so. As a complete Novice Bill has helped me gain confidence in my own ability and really allowed me to make progress in a long time desire to learn the drums.

Bill is a great teacher with many years experience. He is very patient and always has a new trick in approaching difficult piece of drumming. I've learnt how to sight drums and improved my timing greatly.
