After having 2 gearboxes reconditioned here in Melbourne Australia that we’re not up to standard . I contacted Gary from Heathrow Transmissions. A smooth case gearbox was rebuilt with a brand new ribbed case 1098 gear set and Baulk ring synchros for my 1960 Morris Minor . I would highly recommend Gary as he knows what his doing re BMC Transmissions. The gearbox is very smooth , selects beautifully and the synchros are like that of a modern car. Was an expensive fix to have imported to Australia but well worth it . Big thanks to Pete Bradley who actually built the Gearbox.. my apologies. Thanks Again

Found this firm on ebay and from my first phone call it was obvious these guys knew what they were doing.Living fairly local I visited with my 948 Frogeye gearbox and found a tidy well run shop with a father and son team.Nothing was to much trouble and a suggestion of upgrading the gear mechanism to the 1098 was advised with a mod to the front to fit an oil seal to prevent oil leak. 2 weeks time frame and it was completed in less. Yesterday i collected my car from tne garage who were fitting the box and its like a different car no crunching no leaks so one happy customer. One final note when i collected the gearbox Peter the son was more than happy to show me tbe difference between my old gear type and the new. If only others were as good. Thanks agsin Guys Gordon

I am writing to say how pleased I am with the rebuild you carried out on the rear axle/differential of my MGB roadster. The car is now an absolute pleasure to drive without the dreaded rear axle clunk when I take my foot off the accelerator. Also, really impressed with the turnaround time from initial enquiry to picking up my fully refurbished axle. I can see why you are recommended by the MGOC.

They have built an A30 Gearbox with stronger internals, A 4.2 diff which is in the A30 and have now rebuilt the 3.9 diff and gearbox in the Midget. The prices are fair and their work is excellent Highly recommend
