I sent my car for repair at Holocene. The customer service was excellent with friendly and honest staff. My car looked as good as new with no signs of the cosmetic damage from before. The price was also very reasonable so I cannot fault the company. 5/5

I have been a loyal customer at Halocene garage for eight years and wrote a positive review some years ago. Unfortunately Halocene have completely let me down and therefore my opinion of them has turned very negative. An electrical fault developed in my car a couple of months ago that prevented the engine from starting. I have since sent the car twice to Halocene (using roadside recovery vehicles) for the same problem and have paid Halocene just under £2,000 thus far to fix it, but the problem still persists. When I pointed out that it still hadn't been fixed (it eventually started after many attempts), the manager shrugged me off saying there was nothing more they could do and I should take the car to an Audi garage instead (yes after I had already paid nearly £2k with no offer of compensation)! To make matters worse, I noticed a large crack in the windscreen shortly after collecting the car on the last occasion which definitely wasn’t there beforehand (but by the time I noticed it the garage had closed so I was unable to return it that day.) The next morning yet again the car again wouldn't start so I rang up to complain. I got a complete denial that they had anything to do with the cracked windscreen (which I have since had to replace incurring an additional £100), but the manager assured me that he would find a final solution within 48 hours to deal with the electrical fault at no additional cost to myself. The 48 hours have now passed with no further news – it appears the manager simply wanted to tell me what he thought I wanted to hear rather than any actual desire to resolve the issue. I will not be using this garage again.
