Took my dog Barnaby in for a cough and was seen by Rebecca for about 3 minutes before her telling me that nothing seemed to be wrong with him. I wrote an email saying how disappointed I was in this answer as he was obviously ill and she called me saying I could come back and have him checked over again. I brought him back as his cough persisted and she said again nothing was wrong but could do further tests to see what was wrong. Then they charged us an additional £50 for this information on top of the £70+ they charged for the shambles of a first visit. They also, after now about 3 months, have not processed any claims to my insurance.
As of two days ago, my dog was coughing so badly he was choking. We had to rush him to a different vet further away as we didn’t trust the staff at Fulham to treat him with any care. The lovely vets at Medivet Parsons Green actually seem like they like animals, and immediately got Barnaby on antibiotics and pain killers and now he is finally starting to get better. I can’t believe it got to this point where we thought he was going to die when it could have been prevented if Fulham would have taken the care to check him properly. I’ve never left a review before but don’t want anyone else’s dog to get to the point that mine did. My advice is to go somewhere else (Medivet Parsons Green is fantastic and close by)
Disappointing. I've been with Medivet Fulham for a year, and previously experienced good service with them. This ended today. The current vet (different to the warm and helpful previous practitioner) was rude and surly. He was patronising and caused undue distress in his questioning and eventual diagnosis.
On top of this, the current situation means everything is contact free, and the dynamics of this are poor. I was asked to place my cat inside the surgery door on the floor, then stand outside as the vets paraded several dogs past him (who had arrived without appointment as emergencies) distressing him needlessly. The pets are then taken to the inspection room and you are unable to supervise or discuss matters.
All in all, this routine trip did more to distress both the pet and owner than it needed to. The practice had no system to deal with (the many) walkups in parallel with bookings. Fulham Medivet are already very expensive. With this level of service, it makes it easy to go elsewhere in future.
Friendly, helpful, compassionate and knowledgeable staff. I have been a client with this practice for over 20 years and I've never been let down.
I used to love this vet before it was taken over by Medivet. Now their phone lines never work (always puts you on hold then says the practice is closed) something I have told them about for a few weeks now. The vets are always changing, temps and they seem to be permanently short staffed. My cat recently had a serious surgery with this practice and although some individual staff were very helpful (Martina and Rebecca) the overall service has not been good. Firstly, I was not given correct aftercare advice which could have resulted in the death of my cat after very delicate surgery. Secondly, I we have felt largely abandoned since the surgery. There have been a number of symptoms post surgery and we have been unable to see the vet who did the surgery and knows his case. And now can’t even get through on the phones to speak to anyone! Very disappointing.
The Medivet in Fulham has been great! The staff have always been super caring and helpful with all the visits we have had to make over the last couple of months for our kittens broken paw.
