So sad this place is now closed to the public. Apparently they ran out of money. This used to be the place to get cheap care for pets for the not so well off. Where do they go now?

Unfortunately do not recommend. They advised surgery on my dog following on from a scan as they identified an ‘unknown object’. However, after surgery they informed us it was his spleen they had mistaken for the ‘unknown object’. We were still expected to pay for the surgery and did not receive an apology

The hospital is a 24/7 365 days operation with all staff dedicated to helping all types of animal's in need also a huge amount of wild animals. Sadly though it's likely to close this year due to lack of funds over the last few years and with the Pandemic it really hit them hard. Although one of the busiest periods to date with pets being purchased during COVID-19 then dumping them in a blink of an eye it's been a really tough time. My concerns are where will owners and pets go now ? Where will the wild animals be treated ? The capacity is way over the heads of the private veterinary sector in Central and South London. It's doesn't bear thinking about where these animals will end up 😪😪 I pray that the RSPCA head office in Horsham West-Sussex have a thorough understanding of the permutations post closure and that they very seriously halt their impending decision to close this major hospital 🙏🙏🙏

I took an injured animal the Putney hospital that was a stray. The phone service and advice was excellent. They are a wonderful organisation. The service was excellent and staff went beyond the call of duty. I would like to comment that people who have criticised the service but then subsequently took them to a vet. RSPCA is a charity so therefor if you can afford suggest you go to a vet in the first place. I have 2 dogs and would not dream of using the RSPCA when I can afford it myself.
