This branch of John Lewis and maybe others too have lost sight completely of what customer service is, it seems to have been replaced by customer contempt by disinterested staff (or rather partners who are obviously far more important than customers) who would rather be anywhere else but at work. If you manage to attract the attention of a 'partner' with a question you are likely to receive a dismissive reply along the lines of 'look at our website' or 'we have never sold that' and in the latter case you know that they have sold what you are looking for, maybe a few years back when the 'partner' was still at school. It's amazing how dismissive they feel they can be with someone who has a longer memory than they do. No wonder customer numbers are falling and sales reducing, I'll add to those falling numbers and reducing sales from now on.

Excellent service, great products and good facilities. Two year warranty on electrical goods is a bonus. I like the Cafe. They also provide a room for community events free of charge. Highly recommended.
I met Bernadette in the ladies department at the Kingston store this week - what a gem! She helped me find what I was looking for and made me feel a million dollars. If she’s not a personal shopper, John Lewis needs to snap her up right now. Thank you Bernadette you beauty. You made my day!
