I just had my MOT done today and he charged me an extra £29.50 for changing the exhaust mount which is literally 1 minute's job. The real disappointment is not that he just overcharged me for 1 minute's job but it did it without asking me that this needed to be done, he just presented me with the bill (this is a simple job that everybody can do, you do not need to be a professional to change it). I have been going to that garage for less than 1 year and I spent over £500 in various jobs that he did to my car, and I think, especially in the nowadays economical situation, he could have at least made me aware of it (I believe that many garages would have done it for free for clients to keep them happy). This shows me the greedy of this person which the answer to my affirmation that this was a robbery was just" there are many garages here you can go somewhere else".

Most trustworthy mechanics in the UK. I've used various garages over the last 12 years in towns, villages and now London. Never come across two more friendly, helpful and honest people than John and his son. They have a fairly long waiting list if you need a repair or MOT, but that speaks volumes - I will only use these guys even when I move away from the immediate area. Beyond fixing my car, they've also helped twice when they couldn't work on it themselves - I've also got a van that doesn't fit in their garage but they showed me how I could do the work myself and what tools I needed + another time I needed a quick repair but they were full, so they pointed me to another mechanic nearby who was also excellent.
