Has a regular guest at this Travelodge I am normally with the quality of my stay and the friendliness of the staff.
Unfortunately standards have dropped on reopening after the pandemic.
Was very disappointed.
Booked a 4 night stay. Arrived just before midnight and hotel overbooked. 5 people waiting for staff to arrange rooms in alternate hotels.
After almost 2 hours, I was sent in a taxi to a nearby hotel and had to pay £250 for one night and make my own way back to the Travelodge the following day for the rest of my stay. Was told that I would receive a refund from Travelodge for the full £250....4 months later and I’m still waiting...
I travel a lot and understand that overbooking happens sometimes but the guest should not have to pay the price for this.
Staff are super helpful and always willing to help. They even go out of their way for you. However, they do make mistakes sometimes and don't reimburse customers, only give a apology and try to leave it at that. Overall, the rooms are as expected. Super rooms are very well made and add a different feeling to the hotel. Making it felt more comfortable. Complimentary chocolates and drinks added. A little more always helps. A better view would be nicer.
Very clear to navigate and it is nice. One thing you can also charge your phone.
Standard Travelodge experience, it was clean and a place to stay for the night. Can't complain
