We’ve been so impressed with this school and how they’ve not only handled the Covid lockdown (live lessons immediately, 5 per day for all year groups, and loaning out laptops and WiFi plug ins) but also how they’ve handled the return to school. Absolute nonsense from Keisha10, regarding the school not being safe. I have two boys at the school. The school have sent out comprehensive guidance to families, with a really precise safety plan. As per govt guidance all students and staff wearing masks inside the building between lessons and in common areas and removing in lessons, as per give guidance. Any child with medical reasons can get permission to wear a mask. I’m 7 months pregnant and both my boys are allowed to keep masks on in lesson to reduce risk to me also. The level of safety and care given by the Head and Staff to ensure that school is as safe as possible to return has been phenomenal. If our country was run as well, and as safely as Kingsley, we’d be in a much better place. The reputation of this school will take time to improve but I can say with hand on heart having had my daughter attend the Heathland previously that Kingsley is light years ahead of other schools and can easily hold its own these days. I didn’t choose it for the boys due to reputation of the past and when they didn’t get into the Heathland (their sister had left) I (and they) was a bit dismayed. However the quality of education has been impressive. Some of the best teaching, amazingly polite and well behaved kids (and I’ve been on tours in normal school days too and asked to see the behaviour area and a typical lunch time). This school is a really warm and friendly place. It’s led really well by the (new-ish) Head and his team and is now doing really well. Don’t discount it and absolutely ignore the ridiculous comments of it not being safe re: Covid. If anything they’ve gone the extra distance to keep everybody safe!

It was 3:30 Monday 14th December 2020, when i was using my iphone 12 pro max and this random person was chasing me. I had nothing else to do because i was going on the bus. So j decided to go back to the school and i told Mr Tinsley what happened and he was so kind he told me to ring my brother or parent and he told me dont leave with out telling me ( 5 Star School)

I am very impressed with Kingsley Academy. We did not choose this school for our son and were very worried when he got placed here as we had heard bad things locally. However he has had a brilliant experience so far. His head of year Ms Cripp has been very helpful and so have all the other teachers. The headmaster and the senior teachers are always around and on the gate at the end of the day which is good. The behaviour (which I was worried about from stories I had heard) is excellent and my son is learning lots in his lessons from his very good teachers. I have a son in Y3 nearby and although I would not have considered Kingsley before, I will now put it as our first choice instead of Lampton or Heston when it is his turn for secondary.
