Visiting this DLR station, you’ve only got sixty seconds to make it to ‘Shady’ Overground station on the other side and vice versa.
Beware: thugs, humbugs, youth gangs, war lords, mental institution escapees. Don’t be fooled by the fish and chips shop.
The change to Shadwell overground station takes 1 minute, not 6 as TfL Journey Planner says. You exit the station and can see the other. There are small shops and chicken/kebab places for late homecomers too.
As if anyone could pass through this station without thinking of the poet Lumpy McBain. As if...
