Halfords Autocentre Teddington

(MOT) RAN AWAY FROM THAT PLACE!!! I'll try to tell you the horrible week-long nightmare of going to that place to get MOT of my beautiful Mercedes Benz. On the day of the appointment I had already reserved and paid for two tires and the MOT. My wife drove the car with the first appointment at 8:30 was the first to arrive. A bearded man without saying hello and with an angry face told her to come and pick him up at 4 pm despite being the first, we did not understand why. She went at that time they gave her a very long list of defects that according to them they had to fix (my car rode 1800 miles since the last MOT) it was very expensive but we were already in their hands and we accepted. It was a Thursday they told us to pick it up on Monday. On Monday we went they told us that they have another problem and thus more expenses and each time more problems in the end that it lacked the light of the exterior mirror they did not know how much it would cost. Take the car to my mechanic I had to spend £ 200 to get that little light working. I don't understand how the one who does the MOT is allowed to do the car repairs. Everything is a circle where I felt trapped. MOT workshops should not be allowed to make repairs or have ties to whoever does them. It is obvious that it is their main profit and they have trapped the customer. I asked for a receipt for everything paid to them but they didn't give me. I left, I prefer not to see their faces anymore and forget about this horrible week.The hippo-like man did not take any security measures for the COVID, when getting into my car

I had a full service the day before and Halfords failed me on brake pads saying that were less than 1.5mm. I took it too an independent mechanic who said they shouldn't have failed me. The instant I walked through the door they started probing me about things unrelated to the MOT (trying to make money out of me) and I think they saw a young female and saw easy money. I will not be going here again and will be advising others to avoid too unless they want to be screwed over. Reply: I believe it was one of the managers who I spoke to. I did say it couldn't be right as I'd just had it serviced. Why on earth would I go back? I'm never visiting your Autocentres again! Being screwed over once was enough thank you very much! I've had my car checked again by my mechanic and it has been tested at another garage.

Excellent service. Joe kept us informed throughout and turned the MOT issues on our BMW around for us on time despite staffing pressures. They’re a really nice team. Have used every year and will continue to do so. Cheers

Tyre repair. Very professional, informative, on time and they even reset the tyre pressure warning signal so I didn't have to. Excellent service and value.
