I cannot recommend this vet. They are only interested in extorting money out of desperate pet owners. I am so shocked how much they charge. They abuse people who care about their pets and will do anything for them not to be in pain. The whole industry needs tighter regulation.
Great Team: Amanda at reception and Amy the vet are always at hand to give support and together the rest of their team really show such a care to our pet. Highly recommended!!!
TLDR; warm and caring vets and staff, albeit expensive
My dog is a 35kg rescue Shepard mix, when we arrived at voo he was 3 1/2 years old, it’s been two years. I love Phaedrus but he can be a handful! Before moving to London (from SF) he swallowed a tennis ball meant for a chihuahua that got stuck in his digestive tract, and got dog flu. Since we’ve been at voo, his right knee needed surgery because of the impacts of his hip dysplasia.
This was a really complicated diagnosis involving multiple scans of various sorts, a confusing surgery, and prolonged recovery process. (thank goodness we had insurance, always get pet insurance)
Voo was really awesome every step of the way and any time I’ve had an issue they always follow up. One time they made a mistake and the office manager personally called me to apologise. It’s their attention to detail that stands out to me.
Phae has a big personality and all of the staff at the office greet him by name whenever I come by. I really appreciate that they all seem to really care and love animals. Not everyone gets along with him!
They also have a great mix of products (though it could be more sustainably minded and zero waste focused) and feature local businesses sometimes. (Got phae a fantastic handmade leather collar)
I think the only downside is of course that their prices are on the expensive side. So if you’re looking for a deal, this probably isn’t it. If you’re looking for high quality care, I’d highly recommend!
This is the 3rd vets I’ve been too. The staff are brilliant I actually felt for the first time they were more interested in my dog than the vet fee. And my dog is not the best patient. They coped with him very well.
Unfortunately, despite some really lovely vets at both Wandsworth and Battersea, I cannot recommend this business, which is being run purely for financial gain and not the protection, love and care for animals that you'd expect of a Vets. We have used them several times for our puppies, and some of the Vets and other staff are fantastic, but the standard is inconsistent, and the customer care is sometimes appalling. When I spoke to the Owner/Manager of the whole of Voo, he was condescending, reading someone else's notes (he is not a vet himself) and it was clear that all he cares about is money. When my poor pup had to have an operation, before he'd even gone to them, I was rung up and asked for money upfront. We then queried the end invoice which they had added up incorrectly, and they finally agreed their error and we paid accordingly - only to be then hassled for weeks for an 'outstanding invoice' and then I was threatened with legal action - despite all their bills being paid in full. That was the last straw for me. Their 'recommended' products are hugely and unnecessarily expensive (one of the nicer vets said to get the same stuff they recommended separately online rather than through Voo Vets!) which I find exploitative as we were new puppy parents and keen to do the right thing by our pups all the time hence we conned out of a lot of cash just because they saw we were first time owners. Sad because like I say, some of the Vets and staff were lovely. Just not enough!
