Really long queues, good car park but honestly mate just go to the sea salt museum
Our children were super excited to visit the sea zoo. I looked on the website to see what rules were in place. It said no booking system pay on the door. We arrived at 10am (opening time) to be greeted by a kind man explaining where we need to park.
As we got out we could see a very long queue, we joined and thought it must be very large inside. Surely they wouldn't expect everyone to wait while small groups go round.
That is exactly what happened. If we had been told either via the website or the guy on the gate we could have made an informed decision. Instead we ended up waiting nearly two hours to get in (only waited because the kids really wanted to go)
By now it was nearly lunch time so asked if we could visit the cafe first then go around the zoo. We were told we would need to re-queue for another 2 hours. So we dragged our hungry family around not enjoying it at all.
We get its tricky times but there are some serious management issues if they think its acceptable for customers to be treated this way. I hope they can come up with better and safer way, so customers can enjoy the centre.
Excellent place with lots of interesting finds. The views across the menai straight are great. Staff are helpful and the coffee is good. Lots of British sealife. Outside there is well priced crazy golf and plenty of picnic areas. Early start avoids the queue. Easy access from caenafon and North Wales.
This is a great family day out between the inside walkthrough and the outside activities, you can easily entertain the kids for the day. But this isn't just child friendly, if you happen to just be a fish lover. The displays and information available is excellent and I've been there with my family multiple times. I even bought the yearly pass for a few years now, which opens up discount for the miniature golf.
All in all, it's a great place to go.
Went to Anglesey today just for a drive. Came across the Sea Zoo.
Very nice little aquarium. Big, informative displays. Reasonably priced ( 3 adults, 1 child, £31.45). And you can go in as many times as you like for one week.
Cafe not overly priced and the shop is well stocked.
Staff pleasant and professional.
Good social distancing measures in place.
Well worth a visit.
