Small car park. 3 out 3 in at a time. Works as best as it can. Watch out for que jumpers. They try it on.
Quite simply the worst parking payment system I have ever encountered. Day 1- had no cash so had to walk to a cash point which pushed me over the hour and cost another £2. My £8 change was spat out in 20 pence pieces just to spite me. Day 2- first £20 of my fee accepted but machine insisted on exact change for remaining amount and was only carrying notes on me that day. Out of terror that my £20 would be fed back to me in 20p pieces and in a weakened state from donating at the hospital I left the ticket in the machine and sprinted to Costa where they insisted the till could only be opened with a transaction, so one apple juice later very stressed I finally left the car park and I pray to every potential higher being that I never have to use it again. PLEASE KNOCK IT DOWN AND START AGAIN IT LOOKS LIKE A RELIC FROM THE 90S!
Wish I'd seen the reviews about payment. Horrified that it's cash only when we are in a pandemic and even when we aren't it's a hot bed for germs and a hospital car park! My partner is in his appointment now in an out building and I've had to text him to ask him to go into hospital (as security won't let me in) to get cash back from one of the shops. He's a highly vulnerable person and I'm livid about him handling cash. Sort it out kings!!!
Not a great deal of off road parking at King's.
The car park is easy to find and, for a hospital, reasonably priced
expensive and machines do not take card. make sure you bring cash, and coins for when the machine run out of change. unbelievable
