Convenient car park for exploring the common, which is a wonderful place, rich in wildlife and feels like a completely different environment to explore.
Car park was free when we went- surface is good but entrance may be difficult for bigger/longer cars

Nice view!
This whole common is beautiful all year round and should be seen, has rare insects and some wildlife only found here... but....How can a common which has always been free to public yet now all carparks around Chobham have become privately owned and charge 1.30per hour 360 days a year, from 7 a.m. to 9pm. I've walked here for 40 years. Who and how did this get passed. How is this legal?.. I guess it's money to pay the council for the fly tippers who use the carparks more than the public.
I would have no objection to paying 50p , have Sundays free, have free parking before 9am and after 6pm. Shame on Surrey Heath...money grabbers. The car parks are so empty now, the cost of installing remote radio pay stations must have cost thousands, it will take years to pay for them- plus the ongoing cost of paying a company to send someone to check cars have paid each day. What a waste of money.
