Lovely view.

Quite hilly with walks in most directions. At the north end spectacular views over the port of Holyhead. Well worth the effort to get out of your car and enjoy the country side.

Lots of clear paths to follow, great views all round, tea room and visitor centre close by. Exposed in high winds.

The hike out to the North Stack is a fairly long one if you don't have much time, but it is a beautiful hike all the way. You get to see the rock cliff along the south side of the point. The landscape was not too difficult as long as long as you stayed on the path. I didn't as I was trying to take pictures on the way. I did actually hike all the way out, but thought these were the best images of the horn station. It is not a lighthouse, there is no lighthouse there in spite of what was told at the South Stack. Well I needed a good hike, I always do. You can also see the Skerries Island and Lighthouse above the Horn Station which is somewhat difficult to see. Well at least for me it was. Going back over this the memories that are most significant about the North Head and worth going back to see is the violet hue of the vegetation out there which is singularly unique to the area it seems. Also the massiveness of Holyhead not just from this direction, but also from the North side as well and finally the sheerness and height of the cliff. I also remember that when I got out near the end I wasn't too sure that if I stamped my feet on the trail too hard that the top of the cliff might collapse so the closer I got the softer I walked....No sense pushing my luck.
